Imperial forces conquer the Argentine capital and begin a new stage of the campaign to take over the territories that still remain under Argentine control.

Imperial Brazil has today achieved one of the greatest victories of its campaign: the capital of Argentina was conquered by imperial forces.

The fall of the capital represents a severe blow to the Argentine government and completely changes the situation of the war. With the country's main political center now under Brazilian control, the imperial forces turn their attention to the Argentine territories that still remain outside the Empire's domain.

In a statement, the King declared:

“ The conquest of capital marks a great victory, but the campaign is not yet over. As long as there are Argentine territories beyond our control, our forces will continue to advance.”

Imperial troops are already moving to the next regions, seeking to consolidate the conquered areas and further expand the Brazilian domain.

Argentina, now without its capital, faces a new reality in the conflict. The fate of the remaining territories may define the last chapters of this war.
