The prosperity of a country depends not only on what it produces, but also on what its citizens choose to buy. Today, I want to launch an essential debate for the future of our economy: why continue to enrich foreign producers when we have the opportunity to support our own businesses?

As an industrialist and defender of capitalism, I deeply believe that consumption can become a real engine of growth. Every purchase is an economic decision. When we buy goods produced in France, we help directly support French companies and encourage the development of our industry.

Conversely, when we systematically focus on imported products, our money leaves the national economy more easily. We then support foreign production rather than help develop our own production capacity.

Produce at home, thrive at home

I therefore propose a general and voluntary boycott of foreign consumer goods in favour of products made in France.

My call is simple: before buying an imported product, take the time to check whether a French company is offering an alternative.

Even if it sometimes costs a little more, it can be an investment in our own economy. By promoting domestic producers, we can contribute to:

  • Support French companies and their production capacities.

  • Encourage job creation by increasing demand for locally produced goods.

  • Stimulate industrial investment by offering French companies a stronger market.

  • Maintain greater economic value in the country for the benefit of our producers, workers and entrepreneurs.

  • Strengthen our economic autonomy by developing our own production capacities.

The aim is not simply to buy French by patriotism. It is about thinking about the economic consequences of our choices and understanding that consumer demand plays an important role in business investment decisions.

Our money must also serve our future

I defend the free market, but I believe that economic freedom must also prompt us to reflect on how we use our purchasing power.

If we want more jobs, stronger industry and new opportunities for investors, we also need to create sufficient demand for the goods our companies are capable of producing.

We cannot demand a strong national economy while systematically ignoring the producers who make it live.

Of course, this approach must remain voluntary and take into account the reality of households. Not everyone can afford to pay more for each purchase. It is not a question of making citizens feel guilty, but of encouraging them, whenever their budget allows, to favour French products.

Every local purchase is an opportunity to support a company from here rather than let that opportunity pass.

A call for French consumers

I therefore appeal to the general public: making the choice of French products a priority for consumption.

Before filling your basket, look at the origin of the goods. Learn about companies that produce in France. Encourage those who invest, hire and contribute to our prosperity.

Our economy will not only grow through political discourse. It will also grow thanks to the daily decisions of millions of consumers.

Let's buy French. Let's support our businesses. Let us create the conditions for our own prosperity.

The development of our economy also begins with our choices.
