Bees are one of the oldest insects. Bee fossils are found in amber, and one of the oldest found is about 100 million years old. They are believed to have evolved from wasps that switched from animal food to nectar and pollen.

Structure and organs

Five Eyes: A bee has two complex eyes on the sides of its head and three simple eyes on its head. Complex eyes consist of thousands of individual eyes (ommatidia) and give a detailed three-dimensional image, and simple help to navigate in space.

Six legs: On three pairs of legs, bees have special devices - brushes to clean the body of pollen and a "basket" on their hind legs to collect it.
