In S1E04, our special guest is Friero, one of the few players who has already reached the rank of General, and who played a key role in shaping the outcome of WW4.

Please remember to keep the comments section respectful and civilized — after all, we’re all here because we enjoy this game.

Origins of a Champion

How did you first discover the game, and what convinced you to stay and invest time in it?

Friero: I used to play e-sim for quite a long time a few years ago. I thought I had gotten over that addiction, until someone posted a message in our old e-sim Discord channel saying there’s a new game without P2W mechanics, and that it’s worth playing because it doesn’t require much time. Well, as I’ve learned, that turned out not to be true at all. But old addictions aren’t so easy to overcome once you start again, so here I am—buying gems and spending too much time both in-game and on Discord.

The Rise to Power

Can you describe the journey of your character — the key steps that took you from a beginner to one of the most feared warriors?

Friero: We started playing as a team (Korea) about two months after the initial launch. We were already behind and caught in the middle of World War II. Back then, I was still learning all the mechanics—I must have read the Eclesiar wiki at least ten times and built tons of Excel sheets. Later, we managed to establish a strong economy in Korea and really started playing as one.

The moment when "Friero" truly became a warrior was definitely during World War III, when we decided that, in order to negotiate a good peace, we had to play as effectively as possible. I was chosen to be Korea’s main fighter (I still have nightmares about that time, when I was trying to keep track of all the battles for more than a month). That time my EQ exploded because of all donations and i did huge amount of damage in various battles.

Epic Tales from the Battlefield

Is there a particular fight, raid, or event that stands out as the most memorable moment in your gaming career?

Friero: Well, there were a few, but to be honest, the one I’ll remember the most is actually the one I wasn’t a huge part of. It was definitely South Arabia’s attack on Lviv. The score was 4–2 for Arabia, and they needed only about 60 points to win. It was an amazing experience to be on the Polish Discord at that time—being a small part of such a huge mobilization, when dozens of people jumped in to tip the scales and secure the victory. Those kinds of battles are the real beauty of games like this, not the ones where you burn through 100 medkits by yourself, mindlessly clicking the fight button for two straight hours.

After the Pact Ends

How do you see the game world changing once the NAP (Non-Aggression Pact) expires? What do you expect will happen among the major powers?

Friero: Good question! I don’t know what will happen, but I hope that some communities, like Hungary or Bosnia, will keep growing and that new ones will appear as well. This game really needs more people to get involved.

As for politics—well, I think there will be a few more weeks of calm even after the NAP ends. Countries need time to adapt to the new situation, but as I said, if there are enough people active all around the world, then sooner or later we’ll see some great wars again. After all, someone has to defeat the huge Polish empire one day ;)

Words of Wisdom

What advice would you give to newcomers who dream of becoming as strong as you one day?

Friero: Don’t rush and burnt out ! It takes time to reach the top, but in games like Eclesiar, patience always pays off!

And find a great team—it’s pointless to play without a community!

The Road Ahead

Now that you’ve reached the peak, what personal goals or challenges keep you motivated to continue playing?

Friero: Well, for me, Eclesiar is a Discord game. The community is what keeps me logging in day after day. But if you’re asking about the ‘in-game’ side of things, then I still need to collect a full Q5 gear set ;)
