The bloody battles for Moscow, the surprise U.S. intervention, the restoration of Russian statehood, and how to become vice president, even if you weren't asked.
Newspaper "Truth, but not exactly" | Special interview | October 17, 2026
From the editorial board. The Other Side of the Peace Agreement
In our first-issue We talked about the return of Moscow, the peace agreement with the Khaxian Empire and the entry of New Russia into the international alliance.
The events of recent days have opened a new chapter in the history of the Russian state at Eclesiar. But there are a number of questions left behind official statements and diplomatic language.
How did the negotiations go? Why was Russia unable to retake the capital by military means? What role did the United States play in the settlement? What awaits a young country after peace?
To answer these questions, the editorial board of “Truth, but not exactly” decided to listen to the direct participants in the events.
In a previous interview, we spoke to Empress Sovi18, also known as the Queen of the Red Ants.
Now is the time to listen to the Russian side.
Our conversationalist became JA – Vice-President of New Russia, representative of a new generation of players who came to Eclesiar after the release of the game on Steam.
The conversation was serious. But, as it turns out, even in the Russian government, sometimes there are events worthy of a separate humorous rubric.
I. Moscow. From military confrontation to diplomacy
Taifer: Let's start with the main thing. How did the Russian government negotiate with the Khaxian Empire on the return of Moscow? What was the key to reaching a peace agreement?
JA:
"It wasn't easy to start."
From the first days of our presence in this world, our community had a goal to take possession of their land, and the only solution was to return the capital Moscow.
Thus, the return of the historic capital, according to the Vice President, became one of the initial goals of the Russian community.
However, the path to achieving it turned out to be much more difficult than one might imagine.
JA:
The first week of bloody fighting showed us we were too young.
But diplomatically, the problem could not be solved, we simply could not come to a common solution.
In fact, the Russian leadership faced two obstacles at once.
The military path did not bring the desired result, and diplomatic attempts at a settlement have stalled.
The young country faced a difficult choice: to continue the confrontation or to seek new opportunities for negotiations.
And here in the story there was an unexpected participant.
II. Washington makes contact
JA:
“The United States played the decisive factor. Thanks to President Sosa Sosta of the United States.
According to the Vice President, the American President contacted the Russian side through diplomatic channels.
JA:
“We were able to discuss important details and come to a common compromise that resolved all differences.”
Thus, according to JA, it was the mediation of the United States that allowed the parties to overcome their differences and reach a peace agreement.
This is an important addition to the version of events that was previously presented to our editors Sovi18.
Empress Haxiana claimed that she initially did not want a confrontation, but the coordination within the Empire and the URL delayed the process.
JA, in turn, explained what event helped break the diplomatic deadlock.
These two stories do not contradict each other, but reveal different sides of the same negotiation.
Nevertheless, one should distinguish between political statements and documented circumstances: our interlocutors did not disclose the details of the compromise reached.
But now we know who the Russian side considers one of the main participants in the peace settlement.
It seems that sometimes it is not another army that is needed to solve a complex international issue, but one diplomatic conversation that has started in time.
III. Moscow is back. What do citizens get?
The peace agreement is an important political event.
But what does it mean for an ordinary Russian player?
Taifer: What will the peace agreement change for Russian citizens? What are the opportunities that will arise after the return of Moscow and the country’s entry into the URL?
JA:
The first region and space for development, our territory is vital for us now.
According to the Vice President, the presence of their own region will allow Russian citizens to work for the development of their country, and not the states that controlled Russian territories.
For JA, however, the return of the capital is not only economic.
JA:
And the players get their home and their purpose and the opportunity to be the first to stand at the origins of the country’s rebirth, its economy and its sovereignty.
This is one of the most important thoughts of the interview.
The return of Moscow is seen by the Russian leadership not just as a change in the color of the region on the game map.
We are talking about the emergence of our own territory, national economy and the possibility of independent state development.
And here JA made a point that our editorial board decided to highlight separately.
After all, it is the players of the country that are the main valuable resource in the game, not land, resources and factories. JA.
For Eclesiar, this statement makes quite practical sense.
You can own territories, create businesses and accumulate resources. But without active citizens, it will be difficult for the state to develop the economy, provide defense and participate in the political life of the game world.
That is why the return of Moscow to JA is primarily about the future of the Russian community.
Economy from scratch: what next?
Taifer: What concrete steps does the government plan to take to restore the economy and attract players? Are there any projects that ordinary people can participate in?
JA:
The first weeks will be the most difficult, the economy will essentially have to lift from scratch.
We will try to launch the first infrastructure projects for construction.
Thus, the Russian government recognizes the complexity of the upcoming recovery and intends to start with infrastructure development.
However, the Vice-President has not yet named specific dates for the launch of projects, a list of facilities and estimated costs.
Special attention is paid to attracting new players.
JA:
And the influx of new players is continuing.
And with Moscow, it will be much easier for us to interest them to stay in the game and move toward a strong Russia together.
It turns out that the return of the capital is also seen as a tool to unite the Russian gaming community.
The young state needs workers, entrepreneurs, builders, military personnel and simply active citizens.
Territory alone is not enough.
People need to be interested in living and developing in it.
The editorial board of “Truth, but not exactly” will be interested in watching the implementation of the announced infrastructure projects.
After all, promising construction is one thing.
But to finish it before the next world war is quite different.
Russian Territories: Is There a Plan?
In an interview with Sovi18, one of the most important statements for Russian players was made.
The Empress told about the plans to return the regions under the control of states outside the URL, with the subsequent transfer of these territories to New Russia.
We decided to find out what the Russian government knows about this.
Taifer: Has this plan been discussed with your government? Are there specific agreements or are they just intentions?
JA:
“All decisions made in the country are subject to a long debate with all members of the government.”
The restoration of full sovereignty over our territories is a high priority.
The answer confirmed the importance of the territorial issue for the Russian leadership, but left the status of the agreements unclear.
Therefore, our correspondent asked an additional question.
Taifer: Is the plan that Sovi talked about already agreed with the Russian government, or is it still under discussion?
JA:
"Agreed."
A short answer that deserves special attention.
We now have two statements from the negotiators.
Sovi18 announced the existence of a plan to return the Russian regions and promised to transfer them to New Russia.
JA confirmed that the plan was agreed with the Russian government.
However, the specific list of regions, terms and mechanisms for the implementation of the agreements remain unknown.
Sovi itself has previously stressed that plans could change as the world war progresses, with the URL initially counting on diplomatic means of settling.
Therefore, it is premature to talk about the guaranteed return of the remaining territories.
There's a plan. Its approval was confirmed by the Russian side. But implementation remains to be seen.
VI. Government from a new wave of players
After discussing public policy, our correspondent decided to learn more about the vice president himself.
Taifer: How did your story start at Eclesiar? Did you want to get involved in politics or did it happen by accident? How did you become Vice President of Russia?
JA:
I, like many in the world, came from a Steam release.
The current government is the first wave of new players.
It follows that the current leadership of New Russia, according to JA, was formed from players who joined the Eclesiar relatively recently.
At the time of the interview, JA's profile showed Level 24.His appearance in the game was in 731st game day.
By comparison, Sovi18 appeared on game day 484 and reached level 102 by the time we spoke.
There are 247 days between the start of their game stories.
But if Empress Haxiana told of her long journey through the revolution in Argentina, the founding of the URL, and the imperial title, the story of JA turned out to be quite different.
JA:
“We had no choice, either we take control of the country or there will be an oblivion of the country and an outflow of this new wave of players.”
According to him, a new generation of players was faced with the need to take responsibility for the management of the state.
But why did JA become vice president?
And was that position his own goal?
Our correspondent decided to clarify.
VII. Vice President? Should I ask?
Taifer: What personally motivated you to run the country? Was it a team decision or your own initiative?
JA:
“I wasn’t asked, President Antiprigar just put him in this position.”
To be honest, this answer was one of the most unexpected moments of our conversation.
We expected to hear a story of political ambition, lengthy negotiations, team building, or the complex distribution of government responsibilities.
But it was a lot easier.
The president decided.
JA became vice president.
Congratulations on your appointment!
The editors have not yet found out whether the instructions for use were attached to the new post.
However, judging by the detailed answers of our interlocutor, the lack of prior coordination did not prevent him from getting involved in state affairs.
Another interesting touch to the political history of young Russia.
And, perhaps, a ready-made plot for our constant satirical column.
VIII. Really, but not exactly? First Government Rumor
At the end of the interview, we decided to turn to the traditional rubric of our newspaper.
Taifer: What's the most ridiculous or funny rumor you've ever heard about you, the president or the Russian government? And most importantly, was there any truth in it?
The answer was unexpectedly calm.
JA:
“No, we are still too young a government and we are not overgrown with rumors and legends.”
Well, the youth of the government does have its advantages.
Long-term political scandals have not yet accumulated.
Dozens of contradictory memoirs have yet to be written.
And so far, according to the vice president himself, there are no real rumors.
But our editorial board seems to have already discovered the first story worthy of becoming a legend.
The vice president was appointed without even asking for his consent.
The most amazing thing is not hearing.
The Vice President himself said this.
We believe that the rubric “Truth, but not exactly?” received a decent material.
IX. Instead of an afterword. A strong country starts with players.
Our conversation with JA began with a discussion of the return of Moscow and a peace agreement with the Khaxian Empire.
But gradually the conversation went far beyond diplomacy.
We learned that the Russian leadership initially sought to retake the capital, but the first week of military clashes showed the young country’s limited capabilities.
We heard a story about US mediation and the role of President Sosa Sosta in reaching a compromise.
The Russian government considers the return of the territories one of the priority tasks and confirms the approval of the plan previously mentioned by Empress Sovi18.
We learned about our intention to develop our own infrastructure and economy from scratch.
But perhaps the most interesting is the history of people who found themselves at the head of state.
The current Russian government, according to JA, formed from a new wave of players who came after the release of Eclesiar on Steam.
They didn't necessarily plan a political career.
Some did not even have time to accept the position.
However, they now have to make decisions on which the further development of New Russia depends.
At the end of the conversation, JA addressed our correspondent with the words that we decided to leave as the final quote of the interview.
“A strong country is made up of strong players, so let’s get a little stronger.” JA.
That is where we will conclude our conversation.
After all, the future of Eclesiar really consists of the actions of the players themselves.
Their decisions, mistakes, successes, cooperation and ability to find common ground even after serious confrontations.
The editorial staff of “Truth, but not exactly” thanks the Vice-President of Russia JA for the interview and dedicated time.
And I would like to thank President Anti-Prigar for having such an interlocutor.
Even if no one asked JA for the appointment.
Two sides of the same peace agreement
Our first journalistic series combines three materials devoted to the events surrounding the return of Moscow.
First issue: “Moscow is coming back! Russia and the Khaxian Empire concluded a historical peace.
Interview with Sovi18: Queen of the Red Ants: From the Revolution in Argentina to the Throne of Haxian is the Empress of the Haxian Empire’s view on the peace agreement and the future of relations between the two states.
Interview with JA: The Russian Vice President’s account of the return of the capital, U.S. diplomatic mediation, economic recovery, and the plans of the Russian government.
Two people.
Two very different paths into Eclesiar politics.
And one story of a peace agreement whose consequences remain to be seen.
