The hunt is nearing its first full day. Since launch at 18:00 UTC on Oct 17, 37 hunters have joined in. They have fired 155 shots and landed 14 of the 40 sharks. 27 predators are still out there, and 39% of the board (155 of 400 cells) has been searched.

🆕 Latest Catch: Antiprigar

The newest hunter arrived this afternoon and made an instant splash. Antiprigar fired across row 10 (G10, F10, E10) at 14:30 UTC and landed the 14th shark at E10 in their very first volley.

Just 19 minutes after launch, kotvi landed a shark at D7, and nobody has knocked them off the top since.

🌙 Night Owl: Sternenlord

The daily limit resets at midnight UTC. Sternenlord waited two and a half minutes after the reset and landed a shark at J12 right away. scj62964 (C3, 00:47) and Poa (M6, 01:17) were out hunting at that hour too.

🎯 First-Volley Snipers

These hunters landed a shark in their very first round of shots: kotvi, Cedru, Formless, wi3, Sternenlord, scj62964, Poa, Dzejkob, xXxDESTROxXx, wariat1986, Daortzk and Antiprigar. Rumcajs needed two days. Three misses on Oct 17, then a catch at R4 in round two.

Krychu945, KamiLisu, Sosa Sosta, Nushid, mahmessiah, Slykre and Zhaturin have each fired 6 shots, the full limit for both days. Every one of them hit only water. The odds are on their side: a shark hides under roughly one in nine untouched cells.

🧠 Old Battleship Habits

Some hunters kept firing around a shark after catching it, among them kotvi (D5–D8), Formless (P15–S15) and xXxDESTROxXx (L14–N14). In Shark Hunt every shark takes up a single cell, so those shots went into empty sea.
