Hey there!
I'm Misaka, and today, we are talking about Scams.
Eclesiar is a game
where scamming is [apparently and sadly] fully legal. Especially with the rise of holdings, a lot of
players use illicit methods to help you spend more gold then you originally
planned to. But how do you as a (potential) shareholder get to see, which
holdings can be trusted and which one's not?
I'll try to explain that in detail, as I have played a lot of games where this was the case.
Well, then, let's get right to it!
How to spot and identify a scam:
First of all, scammers rely on people's emotions.
So if anything sounds too good to be true, then it very likely is (like having a holding with "high returns and low risk" or entering a lottery you never paid for). If you get excited about an offer, I would suggest taking a step back and reasses the situation. Take the time to think, as trustworthy holdings rarely use high-pressure tactics to force a decision. Emotional Manipulation is one of the biggest things used in trying to scam you.
Scammers will very likely try and incite fear on missing out on something great or they will try to make you feel excited. So as said again, take the time you need in order to evaluate the messages and the offer, especially if it provokes an emotional reaction.
How to avoid scams:
Common Sense and a bit
of critical thinking.
Holdings in Eclesiar:
As the stock market is
not really fleshed out and the CEO's have free reign over those, there is a
certain risk for every shareholder involved. Investing into the Atlas Holding
Group does pose a risk as well, since we are a part of the Stock market! However,
we only want the best for our shareholders and encourage them to discuss
decisions with the CEO's and me, as all Shareholders have the right to take
part in important decisions.
However, trust your instinct. If something feels off, then always trust your intuition and proceed with caution. It’s better to miss out on an opportunity than to take a risk that could lead to fraud.
Stay safe, stay vigilant.
