Here we go again!

It is our first Saturday since Eclesiar launched on Steam. Welcome to everyone who joined us, and thank you to the veterans helping new citizens find their feet.

This edition covers 1–3 October 2026, inclusive. Since our launch update, we have focused on first-session problems, Steam comfort, clearer reports and reliability. Here is what changed.

Steam: Your Account, Your Screen

  • A free first rename. Accounts created through Steam now receive their first username change for free.

  • Add email and password sign-in. Steam-created accounts without a real email can complete email verification and set a password from Settings inside the Steam client. Your existing account, name and progress stay together, and an unused free rename carries over.

  • Choose your window mode. Windows desktop players can select Windowed, Borderless Window or Fullscreen in Settings → Interface. Windowed mode remembers its size and position. A mode change takes effect the next time you open the game.

  • Sound fixes. Steam sound playback handles repeated combat and notification cues more reliably, with protection against harsh peaks when effects and music overlap. Game sounds and chat notifications now default to 50%; saved volume choices are retained.

A Smoother Start

Training, attributes and the active-war list now offer clearer recovery when a request fails. The tutorial understands the loading and Retry states, and recovered training can continue into the next lesson. A missing training response is checked against your saved progress before the game offers another action.

We also fixed training views rejecting legitimate negative equipment damage bonuses. Failed screen downloads have better recovery options, and an unavailable modal can offer Reload or Close while keeping the main interface running.

Reports That Put the Result First

War reports have been rebuilt around the outcome, with round results, whole-war and per-round fighter rankings, country flags and your own standing easier to find. Construction reports show level progress, work and materials, leading builders and your contribution share. These are clearer views of the results, rather than changes to reward rules.

  • Short combat skills: any required human verification now happens before a short University skill activates, helping keep a CAPTCHA from consuming its active duration.

  • Battlefront performance: map rendering has been optimized for moving fronts in regions with complex coastlines.

  • Battle reliability: fighting, energy regeneration and routine war checks interfere with each other less. Live wallet, storage and quest updates now follow a successfully saved hit.

Work, Holdings and Finances

  • Crew is more compact. Start with today's shift and wage summary, open Last 7 Days when needed, and fold owner groups. The view remembers those choices and has one Select control for bulk actions.

  • Sole-owner holding mergers. A solely owned holding can now merge into an eligible entity its owner legitimately controls. Protections for other shareholders remain.

  • Dividend eligibility corrected. Finalized deleted accounts are excluded from the displayed shareholder totals and dividend payouts, with the payout distributed among eligible shareholders. Inactive shareholders still receive dividends; pending account deletion is not finalized deletion.

  • Gem balances update live. Purchased gems and eligible referral cashback now synchronize across open game sessions, without needing a restart.

  • More accurate currency history. Completed days now include their trades correctly in daily currency history.

We also reduced repeated server work behind job offers, Congress proposals, country transaction histories, battle statistics and campaign progress, and improved daily reset routines.

Country and Recruitment

Country pages have clearer election notices, tax-relief information and mobile navigation. Diplomacy now consistently lists wars, allies, embargoes and non-aggression pacts, including categories with no entries.

Presidents, vice presidents and recruitment ministers can browse monthly referral lists, see who invited each recruit and compare recruiter registration and activation counts. Registrations and activated recruits remain separate measures; viewing the new lists does not change the competition rules.

Everyday Improvements

  • Quieter chat: mute notification sounds and badges for any conversation, including World, while continuing to receive and read its messages. A direct-message partner's header name now opens their profile.

  • Readable campaign quests: descriptions are no longer cut to one line, locked quests remain readable, and the Next label no longer covers the title.

  • Keep your place at the Bank: returning from a player's profile restores your transaction page, filter, open detail and scroll position.

  • Better nested dialogs: Escape and Tab act on the topmost overlay, making stacked controls easier to use.

  • Small visual fixes: active item buffs show their current artwork, and the online-player counter refreshes as the count changes.

Do Not Miss the Launch Events

The Drop Booster now has a dedicated event screen showing its actual multiplier, level requirement and remaining time, with shortcuts to battles and construction.

As announced after the recent server disruption, double-drop days are Saturday, 3 October and Tuesday, 6 October, from 00:00 to 23:59 server time. The compensation code VI1H-6F5D-6AXH is valid until 11 October 2026.

Steam players can also keep collecting Playtime Gems through 15 October: one bound gem per eligible full Steam hour, up to five per day and 60 across the event. Check the event announcement for the rules and claim your rewards inside the Steam client.

Thank you for the reports, the patience and the warm welcome you have given our new citizens. Keep telling us where the game gets in your way. See you on the battlefield!
