Chronicle of the first day of the Endesa League 2026-27
For the Ecclesiar newspaper
Journalistic simulation

The Endesa League started this weekend (26 and 27 September) with nine games loaded with intensity, some adjusted results and some surprise. The big ones did not completely fail, but they did not dominate with slack, and several half-board teams have already marked territory.

Results of the Day 1

  • Surne Bilbao 88-81 Kids & Us Manresa
The locals controlled the rhythm in the Bilbao Arena. Good defense in the second half and a solid closure of the Basque. Manresa had rache, but ran out of gas in the last room.

  • MoraBanc Andorra 76-82 Monbus Obradoiro
Victoria worked from the Galician set at home. Obradoiro was more regular in the outside shot and managed the low intensity moments of the party. Andorra was overcome on the rebound.

  • Barça 95-78 Leyma Coruña
The Azulgrana set imposed its pace from the first quarter in Palau. Coruña offered resistance in the first half, but the physical and collective superiority of Barça ended up deciding the encounter clearly.

  • Breogan River 92-89 Joventut Badalona
Party very equal in Lugo. Breogan was imposed in a tight ending thanks to better execution at key times. The Penya came with options until the last minute.

  • Recoleta Salud Burgos 79-85 Baskonia
The Vitorians team added a triumph of merit at home. Baskonia was more effective in inner play and transitions. Burgos competed, but was short on the final line.

  • La Laguna Tenerife 84-80 Casademont Zaragoza
Tiny Triumph of the Tineffeans in Santiago Martín. Zaragoza had the opportunity to take the game, but Tenerife was better able to close the last few minutes with good defense.

  • Bésquet Girona 91-85 UCAM Murcia
The Fontajau saw an offensive party. Girona better controlled the tempo and took advantage of its shooting options. Murcia responded in the third quarter, but was unable to complete the tour.

  • Valencia Basket 87-93 Ilerna Lleida
One of the surprises of the day. Lleida was placed at home in the Fonteta with a very solid party in attack. Valencia did not find its best version and paid for the errors in the outside shot.

  • Real Madrid 98-90 Unicaja
Victory of the leader in the WiZink. The white set was superior in the first half and held Unicaja's reaction in the second. A high-speed party in which Madrid better managed the decisive possessions.

Assessment of the day

The first day left an open picture. The Barça started with the greatest difference and the Real Madrid added its first win without excesses. He highlighted Lleida's victory in Valencia and the good closure of Breogán and Tenerife in very equal games. Teams like Obradoiro, Baskonia and Girona also started with good foot.

At the bottom, Leyma Coruña and Unicaja suffered the clearest defeats. There is a lot of time ahead, but teams have already been seen coming with hunger and others that will need to adjust details urgently.
