​In this day and age, catalysts of antagonism roam the land hiding within impossible nooks and crannies, waiting for ignorant wanderers to stumble upon them and trigger their animosity. The experienced among us raise boundaries and snares in order to protect that which is most precious. Our barriers forcibly clash with others, losing sight of connection in favor of protection and choosing aggression instead of affection. Compassion, an integral part of society, is an ever increasingly valuable commodity due to the wealth of the individual and the poverty of the community, and a more worthy investment is hard to synthesize. It is possible to balance Raising Barriers and Dispensing Compassion effectively, and every individuals action contributes to the world's perception of what is to expected. I think it would be nice if, one day, I expected Kindness, more than Cruelty.
