Intro

I humbly interrupt your scheduled anime pics for an issue of Ephymeral Times. No funnies to be had here, only NUMBERS!!! Sorry, not sorry, maybe another time...

Today: Have you ever wondered how much the game throws at you if you're going to be just playing 2-clicking? How does it compare to throwing money at the game, or being good at it?

I found the amount is actually pretty impressive since first days, but I'm not sure everyone realizes it. If you want to know more, read on...

Summary

I categorize the main sources of income of a natural player as such:

  1. BattlePass. We'll review value of both Free & Premium passes, assuming you sell everything...
  2. Missions. Each mission is 0.4g, but they add up fast.
  3. Salaries. It's not as much as you think, but it still matters.
  4. Roulettes. You get free ones, and P2W players can get extras.
  5. Drops. Even if you're stingiest player, if you hit, you get some.
  6. Lazy WaM. How much do you easily get in the most carefree manner?

Simply put: assuming no player shenanigans (stocks, medals, companies), how much does the biggest, quietest, most efficient nobody gets, and how much more do you get throwing money at the screen?

If you don't want all the boring details, scroll down to the end for the table with results!

Breakdown

1. BattlePass

Obviously we'll use rewards for current month! Values sourced from memory and auctions, you're welcome to disagree. We'll cut 5% off for auction fees in the end, and ignore listing fees.

To this, you have to add Free Pass market items rewards. I'll spare you the long listing, but i calculate their value to be about 15g this month (mostly Q5 tickets..)

 FINAL TOTAL
 -
  142g
 155.65g

So having both, this lands a total per month of 297.65g !!

2. Missions

This one is simple: each mission rewards 0.4g, there are 8 per day. Over 30 days, that's 96 gold.

3. Salaries

Assuming a 2g equivalent salary per day, you simply make 60g over the course of 30 days.

4. Roulettes

As a refresher -- you get one free roulette spin every DAY every week-end, and can purchase another one with gems. For simplicity, i'll assume each spin is worth 10g on avearge (which i think is fairly close) and that there are only 4 weeks per month.

This means 8 free spins per month and 8 gem spins per month, for a total of 80g each!

5. Drops

Oh so you want to do more than 2-clicking and missions? Okay. Without eating, you get 720 energy per day from native regen.

If you were to hit for 6g worth equipments at 0.4% default drop rate, that means you get on average 1.728g every day, or 51.84g per month.

6. WaM

You can make a lot more with proper company management, but if you were to go the most lazy route and make a Q2 Grain company to WaM, my estimate is you'd get 0.8 to 1.4g per day. I'm lazy too, so we'll round it to: 30g per month.

Putting it all together...

Using all the above estimates, this leaves us at the following values depending on playstyle:

Style
 Monthly Income
Comments
 Pure 2-CLICK
  140g
Salaries+Roulette, but may do missions accidentally
 Free Missionner
  378g
 +Missions & Free Pass
 Free Minmaxer
  459.84g
 +WaM+Drops
 Premium Minmaxer
  615.49g
 +Premium Pass Rewards
 Your P2W Neighbor
  695.49g
 +Gem Roulette Spins
That guy desperately selling coffee on #trade
  710.49g
 (estimate)

Of course, that's all assuming you're not playing the game otherwise, and therefore not getting medals, not running companies, and not having expenses such as food or weapons.

But I think that puts an interesting perspective on the capability of new and uninvolved players, and the game monetization.

What do you think about it ? Let me know in comments!

Now YOU go out there and don't forget to do your missions!
