- Country Power Ranking [November]
https://eclesiar.com/newspaper/56/article/391
Criterias:
Economy Ranking - we split it by 3 more criterias: Bonus regions (high, mid, low), overall number of regions and productivity. We rank each category on it's own, then sum it all up and reward points for Economy Ranking.
Infrastructure Ranking - real time building cost points, what country owns right now. You can take deeper look into it here: https://eclesiar.com/newspaper/56/article/389
Damage - This one to me looks the most inaccurate, because we have terrain types, some countries fight mostly in deserts, some have wars all server long, some doesn't have wars yet, etc.
Active Citizens - might also be a bit controversial, but people are the biggest potential, if they are used right, the country can skyrocket in these rankings in near future. You need to have workers, fighters, builders.
I awarded with points only 15 countries from each category. 1st place got 20, 2nd - 18, 3rd - 16, 4th - 14, 5th -12, 6th - 10, 7th - 9 and so on.
Idea is to award the country which stands out in specific category.
Country Power Ranking [December]

December was a harrrd global conflict month. We call this world war 2. If casual players are reading this, you can look up more info about current server sides in this article: https://eclesiar.com/newspaper/56/article/479
1. USA - As usual, keeps dominating this ranking. Only category they dropped out a bit is infrastructure, which was influenced by heavy focus on war, absorbing nuclear bomb and full effort in searching new allies to destroy their competition. One fun thing is that they are still not really tested in direct war, we still are unsure if USA would fumble or they would be such force that it's better not to summon it.
2. Slovenia - well well well, as we said the war with Macedonia, Bulgaria and Lithuania will only harden and activate Slovenian potential. Look at them now, jumping this ranking by 3 places. After war ends and they focus on building they can cement their position as TOP 3 country for long time.
3. Portugal - last month I questioned how would Portugal look in direct war, but under Calheta's leadership Portugal really showed what can be achieved with small playerbase maximising their efficiency. Winning war against Sweden solidified them as TOP 3 country in this month's ranking.
4. Lithuania - ever since they started prioritising building, they can't seem to stop anymore. Some countries losing colonies/getting buildings destroyed allowed Lithuania to reach best health care - 405 health bar and best infrastructure in the server. Now Lithuania is focusing on war, but finds themselves in funny situation, being blocked by Japan in which war Lithuania is not interested. USA is trying hard to not have direct border with Lithuanians.
T-5. Sweden - losing well developed United Kingdom colonies and strategic resources in South America is a culprit of why Sweden lost their TOP 2 position. But as we know, Sweden has fierce fighters and won't stop, it's only a matter of time when they will expand succesfully and jump back on top.
T-5. Bulgaria - relentless country fighting against odds in both world wars. Losing position because of lost colonies in Italy and Greece being able to invade 2 core regions and sweep the buildings. Bulgaria is prioritising it's allies and partners success more than their own, being big factor in freeing many fresh communities from occupation.
7. Romania - rebounced very well after difficult world war 1 and limitating NAP. Improved on 3 out of 4 categories. Strategically choosing their alliance they are able to steadily improve with calm peace of mind.
8. Brasil - after devastating war with Sweden during November they are silently improving their position, what stands out the most is that they are firmly heading to top infrastructure. Focusing infrastructure and economy instead of war.
9. Iran - they started december as TOP 3 country, was big factor in wiping China, but also... after Astra entered war they happened to be one of the countries that lost the most. Falling by 6 positions in the ranking. They are fighting harrrd to not lose colonies, honestly doing good job with that. Also Iran was affected by losing big count of "active citizens", but Alinzr_ already has a plan on how to recreate Iran empire by inviting his 400.000 youtube subscribers, so I'm sure they will be okay.
10. France - jumping by 6 positions - not many people expected France to reach TOP 10 but here they are, started december with "having big baby boom" now they managed to get some colonies and building their infrastructure very well. But currently they are facing serious threat - direct war with Germany, where Germans are threatening to destroy French buildings. We will see if G30 manage to keep their promise to protect France.
11. Saudi Arabia - holding this high position mostly because of infrastructure but also Saudis entered war seriously, not directly but giving lots of support to their Astra alliance and Macedonia.
12. Germany - could be higher, but their map position is very difficult. They improved with damage and active player count tho. Looking forward to see if they can outpower France.
13. Macedonia - also falling down by most positions. Macedonia was very bold (maybe even co*ky), made a lot of enemies, in result lost all colonies, that was big hit for their economy, infrastructure and motivation. Looking forward to see if they can bounce back or not. Also one of leaders got temp ban for multies.
14. Indonesia - highest new country in this ranking. Entering it because of economy, expansion and infrastructure.
15. Japan - we heard famous quotes about not wanting any wars near their borders, to keep Asia stable. Yet they declared war to China together with Astra to revenge against Kysely. Meantime also forced war with Lithuania. In result China recovered, new Korean community used this as opportunity to regain it's territory, Japan absorbed 3 nukes, their infrastructure got shattered. But Japan's biggest goal - not letting Lithuania have border with USA still remains succesful.
16. China - this month was a rollercoaster for them. Kysely stepped down from leadership, Wolfstark took over and tried to fix relations, it was unsuccesful, Astra ganged against China, succesfully wiping them. But China recovered very well. Also they should have more points in damage category, because their national MU has twice as much damage as China itself.
T-17. Poland - last month they made the list only because of infrastructure. This month it changed to damage and economy. Having good relationship with neighbors enables Poland to be dream helpers to it's alliance. Tho saddest part was that they got invaded by Slovenia during New Years eve. Very sneaky plan to catch drunk poles off guard. But they managed to defend it excellently :)
T-17. Hungary - one of few truly neutral countries in global conflict. Using their time to improve infrastructure.
T-17. Turkey - sadly, Turkish community is collapsing, only 8 active players remained in the game. Making the list just because of occupied regions.
20. Albania - making the list because of infrastructure.
21. South Korea - dark horse in the world war 2. Their community is growing fast, with some support from alliance they managed to free all of their regions, now trying to survive war against warmonger Japan.
T-22. Bosnia and Greece fell down in the ranking, because of war. Only remained in power ranking because of holding core regions.
T-22. Israel, Serbia, Spain - only making this ranking because of having all core bonuses.
