The moment I've been trying to avoid for a long time has arrived. I've always wanted to play for the country I live in in RL and be part of a community that speaks my language, but that too has come to an end. In the rest of the article, I'll share my perspective on why this happened and what made me leave eCroatia.

How it started

I started playing this game in January at the invitation of two RL friends who showed it to me, explained that we were in a war for independence and that by playing I would help them by being their referral, fighting against Slovenia for independence and working in their companies. I liked the game and in the same month I got involved in the work of the government of the country which only had about 10 active players. The president was Manga and we soon all got involved in inviting everyone we knew to increase our community and grow as a country. The idea that was presented to me was that all decisions would be made by mutual agreement and that we would work together for one goal - strengthening eCroatia.

First problems

I ran into my first problems in March. During the NAP negotiations with South Africa, Manga started to make demands on its own, which the government had not agreed to in advance (which led to the termination of the negotiations). Furthermore, he used state money to develop his private companies and used all the money from donations from all citizens to open companies in a private military unit. During that period, several players contacted me who said they were leaving the game because they did not want to play for someone's private interests. I persuaded them to stay and promised them that I would do everything in my power to take over government and restore the system we agreed on in January and February - we all work for the state and everything is shared, not owned by one person.

New hope

We succeeded, we won the congressional elections convincingly and implemented capitalism so that every player had equal chances to develop their equipment and their own companies. With the takeover of power, obstructions also began. During the period when we were in power, Manga had daily tantrums on Discord channel and tried to sabotage the work of the Government. In addition to the above, he sabotaged all efforts by carrying out the PTO of Ireland and threatening Sweden with a proxy war in negotiations that were not approved by the government. Furthermore, he tried to carry out the PTO of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which led to another war that seriously harmed eCroatia. All with the aim of undermining support for my party in order to come back to power. That was when I first started thinking about leaving Croatia, but I decided to stay and fight. At the end of the mandate, we agreed on a compromise and both parties agreed that we would hand over power, but Babo would be the president. He received the full support of both parties.

Return to reality

One of my government's greatest successes was improving relations with ePoland and signing a defensive pact. The Poles were one of the few allies on our side when Bosnia and Herzegovina attacked us while we were completely exhausted from the two wars we had fought just before. The problems of the government led by Babo began precisely because of ePoland. After the Polish colonies were attacked in South America, the decision was to return the favor and help them defend their regions. After that decision, Manga decided to go to 2click and did almost nothing to help in the war, but at the same time he spent adrenaline and medkits on stealing Bob the builder medals. All his loyal players also did nothing to help Poland. After Poland's defeat, Manga actively engaged in the game and on his own with his private military unit started a war in Macedonia without the government's approval, which ultimately led to the impeachment of Babo, the betrayal of our former allies and the irreversible damage to the reputation of eCroatia. During the aforementioned mandate, Croatia lost 10 players who stopped playing the game or left eCroatia, and dissatisfaction grew among a good number of others.

A new beginning

the last event that led to the final decision was yesterday's CP elections. We agreed in advance that the next CP will be El Scorpion, because he was a member of the last two governments and is one of the most active players. Manga entered the elections in front of his party and won them with a score of 24 - 19, which means he didn't even told to his party members about the deal. It became clear that eCroatia is once again becoming a slave to one man. After latest betrayal, some of our players including me made the decision to leave and started looking for our new home.

We realized that very few countries were willing to accept 5-10 players of foreign nationality due to fear of PTO and we were becoming desperate when the CP of a country we considered hostile and did not even consider them as our new home offered asylum for our players. It was SosaSosta and he expressed his willingness for the USA to accept a community that had been betrayed by those to whom it had extended a hand of friendship and cooperation. We hope to turn a new chapter for our small community in this game and hereby thank the USA Government who pleasantly surprised us and proved that past wars are not an obstacle to future cooperation.
