The respective Governments of Indonesia & Australia have agreed on a training war.

Today the Government of Australia confirmed to The Australian that a deal has been made with Indonesia to participate in a training war.

The training war is expected to take place in Jayapura. Both countries will share the cost of the war.

The purpose of this is to improve relations between the two Pacific nations, and strengthen both militaries.

Until recently, relations between the two countries have been frosty. This new deal opens a whole new chapter in Australian-Indonesian relations, and hopefully begins the peace process.
