In the daily life we face daily things we must do. For some of us its hard to start. We tell ourselves that we will do it tomorrow, the weather is bad, I will do it later, I am tired etc etc
This is called the art of procrastination and for some of us its really strong. Small things will become huge in our brains and we will either never start or never plan how to start.
There is a way to break this. In studies about procrastination the first minutes is crucial to overcome the "Obstacle to start". If you tell yourself that you will only do the thing you have procrastinated for so long for only 5 min, you could overcome the whole problem.
Take training for example. Its a raining day and you have planed to start train for months but never actually even got so far as to step into a gym. Well tell yourself that you will only visit the gym for 5 min. Start put on the training cloths at home and repeat to yourself "only 5 min". You will notice well at the gym that you could probably stay loner than 5 min and suddenly you might have been there 1h.
Or cleaning the attic, sort out unused cloths in the wardrobes etc.
Use the "5 min rule" to combat procrastination and start today..
