As war with Colombia continues, citizens are being left to face the conflict without sufficient government support.

People are willing to defend their country, but patriotism cannot be a substitute for proper national support. If the government expects citizens to fight for the Republic, it must also provide them with the resources, protection, and leadership they deserve.

A government cannot ask for sacrifice while refusing to stand behind its own people.

The citizens have done their part. Now it is time for the government to do theirs.

THE DAILY REPUBLIC

“If we fight for the nation, the nation must fight for us.”
