IS BRAZIL BUILDING AN EMPIRE?

From the conquest of Cucuta to the war against Chile, the Brazilian expansion in WW7 raises a question: is the country defending its sovereignty or seeking to expand its own domain?

THE EXPANSION HAS LIMITS?

The WW7 is transforming the map of Ecclesiar. Brazil conquered Cúcuta and went to war against Chile, while still involved in international conflicts. These decisions raise doubts about the objectives of Brazilian foreign policy.

How far does the government intend to go? How many conflicts will it take to demonstrate power? And what is the ultimate purpose of these achievements?

A territorial victory can be presented as a national triumph, but conquering lands does not necessarily mean building a better society.

THE CONTRADITION OF SOBERANIA

Brazil knows the meaning of having its territory threatened. The conquest of the Amazon by Ukraine has shown how the territorial issue can mobilize national policy.

However, defending Brazilian sovereignty requires coherence. If we condemn the expansion of other countries, we also need to question our own achievements and the consequences they cause.

We cannot condemn expansionism only when we are its victims and ignore it when we are its protagonists.

WHO BENEFITED THE CONQUESTS?

From a Marxist-Leninist perspective, it is not enough to ask how much territory a state has conquered. It is necessary to investigate which economic and political interests guide these decisions and who receives the benefits of victories.

While governments dispute influence, the population can face economic costs, instability and the consequences of prolonged conflicts.

A flag over a new territory does not answer the most important question: have the living conditions of the people improved?

A POWER OR A PROJECT OF DOMINATION?

Brazil needs to decide what kind of power it intends to be. Regional leadership can be built through cooperation between Latin American peoples, but it can also be weakened by constant wars and rivalries.

The conquest of Cucuta and the conflict with Chile should serve as a reason to reflect on the future of the region. Turning neighbouring countries into permanent opponents can compromise the solidarity needed to face common problems.

True independence should not depend on the ability to dominate other peoples, but on the possibility of determining its own paths without subordination to external interests.

POWER IS NOT SYNONYMOUS OF PROGRESS

WW7 is redesigning borders, but we cannot allow the size of the conquered territories to become the only measure of success in a country.

The Communist Resistance advocates that the interests of workers and the population be placed above the ambitions of power. Brazil needs to reflect whether its achievements are building a better future or just expanding the commitments of an endless war.

Because conquering territories is one thing. Building a just society is another completely different.
