Light up the Sky

Storm came crashing like a flood,
Thunder louder than the bombs above,
Sky split open, screaming in white,
Heaven’s fury dressed as light.
Light up the sky for me tonight,
Darkness only breathes through fight,
Break the silence, tear it through,
If this is truth… then let it burn through.
Light up the sky, don’t let it lie,
If it’s a message, let it cry,
God's don’t whisper, they arrives,
In shattered ground and fractured skies.
Pain and war, catastrophe,
Echoes crying endlessly,
Tears fall down like acid rain,
Washing nothing, feeding pain.
Let me stay, don’t pull me away,
I wanna watch it all decay,
Eyes wide open, my heart awake,
Every crack, every mistake.
One arm bleeding, dripping red,
Other burning, barely fed,
One eye blinking, begging rest,
Other frozen in my chest.
And when it wasn’t enough to break,
Something deeper starts to wake,
Not a voice, but something real…
Telling me what not to feel.
It screams “destroy,” not flesh, not bone,
But everything that makes them known,
Every laugh and every name,
Every spark that built the flame.
Light up the sky for me tonight,
Turn the dark into a fight,
If I fall, I fall in view,
Of a world that never knew.
