Hey everyone,

We all log on to games for the same basic reasons: to compete, to unwind, to hang out with friends, and to have a good time. Gaming is at its best when it is a challenge. But there is a massive difference between a competitive challenge and toxic cruelty.

Lately, we’ve all seen players being treated completely unfairly. Whether it's targeted harassment, relentless griefing, verbal abuse in voice chat, or ruining someone's game just for the fun of it, toxicity is ruining the spaces we love.

Too often, when we see a teammate or an opponent being bullied, we stay quiet. We tell ourselves, "It’s just internet culture," or "They should just mute and move on." But staying silent sends a dangerous message. It tells the person being targeted that they don’t belong here, and it tells the toxic player that their behavior is perfectly fine.

That is why we need to start using the report button—not as a tool for revenge when we lose a match, but as a shield to protect each other.

Reporting isn't about being a "snitch." It is about establishing a standard for the community we actually want to play in. When you see someone being treated unfairly, take thirty seconds after the match to submit a detailed report. Use the clip tools, type out what happened, and let the moderators do their jobs. Better yet, speak up in the moment. Let the person being targeted know they aren’t alone, and let the toxic player know that the rest of the lobby isn't on their side.

Games are meant to be a refuge from the stresses of the real world. Nobody should have to log into their favorite hobby only to be degraded or pushed out.

Let's look out for one another. If we want a better, fairer, and more fun community, we have to build it ourselves. Next time you see someone being treated unfairly, don't just scroll past it. Stand up, report it, and help us keep gaming fun for everyone.

Thank you.
