My beloved daughter,

Me and the Brazilian troops arrived in Santiago, Chile. It was a sad destruction caused by the Chileans. The civilians looked scared: Argentine and Chilean political propaganda treated us as "mono", beings unable to invade their country. But we show them our military capabilities.

Many were bewildered: The propaganda said that Chileans were the strongest in America and would soon occupy all of Brazil. Soon they saw our political and military capabilities under the streets of the Chilean capital. They saw that all they believed their whole lives was a typical propaganda of an authoritarian regime. Mothers wept for their children killed in the war, forced to go to the front to defend war criminals. Opponents of the Chilean fascinore regime celebrated liberation on the streets.

I saw partners die in this war. It's sad. Many would just like to go back to their homes, enjoy it with their families. War makes us poor, with no prospect that tomorrow we will be alive. However, ending an imperialist country is our duty as a soldier of a great nation like Brazil.

The fascinors are inside the country, attacking our fronts. We're going after them. Each will pay for his crimes.

A kiss for you, my daughter, from here in Antofagasta, because you, my love, are my motivation to live more and more. Your daddy just wants you to grow up in a safe country and I'd do anything to do it.

May this letter remind you of me. Tell your mama I'll be back soon with the final victory.

With love,

Carlos Garcia.

My beautiful daughter,

The Brazilian troops and I have arrived in Santiago, Chile. It was a sad scene of destruction caused by the Chileans. The civilians looked frightened. Argentine and Chilean propaganda had portrayed us as “monkeys,” beings incapable of invading their country. But we showed them our military capabilities.

Many were left speechless. The propaganda had claimed that the Chileans were the strong in the Americas and that they would soon be all of Brazil. Then they saw our political and military strength on the streets of the Chilean capital. They realized that everything they had believed their own lives was nothing more than the typical propaganda of an authoritarian regime.

Mothers created for their sounds who had died in the war, forced to go to the front to defend war criminals. Opponents of the Chilean fascist regime celebrated in the streets, welcome their release.

I watched comades die in this war. It's sad. Many of them only wanted to return home and enjoy their families. War leaves us dust, with no certainty that we will be alive tomorrow. Butbringing down an imperialist country is our duty as soldiers of a great nation like Brazil.

The fascists are in the interior of the country, attacking our fronts. We are going after them. Each one of them will pay for their crimes.

A kiss to you, my daughter, from here in Antofagasta, because you, my love, are my motivation to live each day. Your daddy only wants you to grow up in a safe country, and I would do anything to make that possible.

May this letter make you remember me. Tell your mother that I will soon be back, with the final victory.

With love,
Carlos Garcia
