A headline from The Buenos Aires Post caught the eye: That Brazil is cowardly attacking a nation that has manifested neutrality, Argentina. Reality, however, is more complex than the post suggests.

I write this message in Portuguese, Spanish and English, so that everyone understands what is at stake in this war in South America and understands our fears.

First, on neutrality. Brazil received the proposal of neutrality with respect. We have heard mediators of conflict and made our proposals for the end of the war. However, this supposed neutrality is not neutral: Argentina would still be part of an alliance, The Bakers, which wants to share our nation. Then Argentina was suggested to withdraw from the alliance, but there was no success. Our diplomacy tried, by all means, to prevent Argentina from being a bridge to Chilean interests.

With the erratic position of the Argentine government, there is nothing else to be done except to ensure that Brazilian sovereignty is respected, not with lying, dubious or misleading words, but with military force: Pushing the Bakers alliance out of our borders is essential for Brazilian sovereignty to be fully achieved.

Brazil has already been threatened by our historic enemy, Chile. They are at our borders and were interested in an imminent attack. We had to defend ourselves, even if preventively.

Moreover, we welcome the Argentine claims to remain at the margins of the conflict. However, without guarantees that Argentina will not become a bridge to attack Brazil, it will not be possible to accept any request. Moreover, our diplomacy offered the means to allow Argentina to be outside the conflict, but there was no acceptance. The Argentine people need to know that their leaders refuse any term of peace.

We want the friendship of the Argentine people. Our interest is to maintain lasting peace with all nations. However, by remaining in the alliance and without the Argentine government ensuring that neutrality will be achieved effectively, there is no other choice to be made. We urge diplomatic channels to be open during the conflict, because we are always willing to hear about it.

A headline published by The Buenos Aires Post has drawn attention, claiming that Brazil is cowardly attacking a nation that has declared its neutrality: Argentina. The reality, however, is more complex than the post suggestions.

I am writing this message in Portuguese, Spanish, and English so that everyone can understand what is at stake in this war in South America and the concerns we face.

First, regarding neutrality. Brazil received the proposal for neutrality with respect. We listed to the conflict's mediators and put forward our own proposals to end the war. However, this supposed neutrality is not truly neutral: Argentina would remain part of The Bakers, an alliance that seeks to divide our nation. We therefore proposed that Argentina leave the alliance, but this effort was unsucccessful. Our diploma tried every possible means to prevent Argentina from alleyaming a bridgehead for Chilean interests.

Given the Argentine government's erratic position, nothing more can be done except to feel that Brazilian sovereignty is respected—not through false, ambiguous, or misleading words, but through military strength. Pushing The Bakers alliance beyond our borders is essential to achieving full Brazilian sovereignty.

Brazil has already been threatened by our historical enemy, Chile. Chilean forces are at our borders and were preparing for an imminent attack. We had to defend ourelves, even if that mean acting preemptively.

Furthermore, we acknowledge Argentina's desire to remain outside the conflict. However, without guarantees that Argentina will not become a platform for attacks against Brazil, we cannot accept such requests. Our diploma has also offered ways for Argentina to stay out of the conflict, but these proposals were not accepted. The Argentine people must understand that their leaders are rejecting every proposed path to peace.

We seek the friendship of the Argentine people. Our goal is to continue resting peace with all nations. However, as long as Argentina remains in the alliance and its government fails to guarantee effective neutrality, we are left with no other choice.

We earlyly ask that diplomatic channels remain open through the conflict, as we are always willing to listen and discuss this matter.

With best regards,

Carlos García

Un titular published by The Buenos Aires Post ha llamado la atención al affirm that Brazil is cowardly attacking a nation that has manifested its neutrality: Argentina. However, the reality of this issue is very important.

I write this message in Portuguese, español and English so that everyone understands what is in juego in this war in America del Sur y entiendan nuestras preoccupationes.

En primer place, respect a la neutralidad. Brazil recibio con respecto la propuesta de neutralidad. We hide the mediators of conflict and present nuestras propuestas para poner fin a la guerra. However, this is supposed to be neutral in the truly neutral: Argentina would continue to form part of The Bakers, an alliance that intends to divide nuestra nación. By the way, we proposed that Argentina had abandoned la alianza, pero no tuvimos éxito. Nuestra Diplomacy intended for all the medios prevent Argentina from convirtiera en un puente para los intereseses Chileles.

Ante la position errática del Gobierno argentinian, in the fall of another alternative that guarantee the respect of the sobaranía brasileña, no through false words, ambiguas o engañosas, bell through the military fuerza. Kicking out a la allanza The Bakers más alllá de nuestras fronteras es es essential para garantizar fully la sobaranía de Brasil.

Brazil ya has been eased by historic nuestro enemigo, Chile. The Chilean fuerzas encuentran en nuestras fronteras y preparaban un attack inminente. We have defended ourselves, including preventive manera.

Besides, we understand the Argentine aspirations of maintainerse al margen del conflicto. Sin embargo, sin garantías that Argentina will not become a platform to attack Brazil, no es posible accept ninguna requested en ese senso. Nuestra diplomacy también ofreció alternatives so that Argentina remains fuera del conflicto, pero no fueron accepted. El pueblo argentinian should know that their leaders are rejecting all the propuestas of peace.

We want la amistad del pueblo argentina. Nuestro objetivo es maintainer una paz durradera con all las naciones. However, Argentina remains in the alliance and in the Gobierno no guarantee an effective neutrality, no nos queda tra opción.

We urge that diplomatic channels remain abiertos throughout the conflict, pues siempre we are willing to hide and dialogue about this cuestion.

With the good health,

Carlos García
